The Children’s Valk is a stable and safe boat in which children learn to sail together at a young age. Together with up to five peers, you head out onto Lake Uitgeest, of course wearing a life jacket. Here, children are introduced to sailing in a playful way. The main focus is on having fun while learning the basic skills of sailing. Whether you prefer steering or handling the jib, everyone gets involved. For your effort, you earn an official sailing certificate to show that you understand how to sail! Are you enthusiastic and curious about what to bring to one of our courses? The May and summer courses run from Monday to Friday (unless stated otherwise). Days start at 09:30 and end at 17:00.
The Saturday course runs for five consecutive Saturdays. Days start at 10:00 and end at 16:00. Please bring your own lunch, a snack and plenty of water.
We do everything we can to ensure the safety of our students. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory as soon as participants arrive at our location—don’t worry, we provide life jackets for everyone. Closed shoes with a sole are also required. In addition, we have many standard procedures and rules to ensure safety on and around the water. All instructors are fully trained in these procedures, and there are always extra supervisors keeping a close watch.

Sailing School Uitgeest is part of Sailing School & Boat Rental Het Uitgeestermeer and applies the HISWA terms and conditions. Besides sailing lessons, you can also come to us for staff outings, Caribbean Bar party venue, meeting room, youth sailing lessons, adult sailing lessons and surf lessons.
