The Laser Pico is a stable single-handed dinghy that is easy to sail in all weather conditions. Thanks to its wide hull, self-draining cockpit and simple sail setup, it is the perfect boat for sporty beginners who want to feel confident on the water right away.
More experienced sailors also enjoy pushing the Pico to its limits. During the course you will receive a wetsuit, as sailing a Laser Pico can get wet – and capsizing is all part of the fun! This is how you learn to handle wind, speed and balance.
We provide your instructor, your boat and (almost always) great weather. Want to know what to bring yourself? Check our packing list.
Spring and summer courses run from Monday to Friday (unless stated otherwise), from 09:30 to 17:00.
Saturday courses consist of five consecutive Saturdays, from 10:00 to 16:00. Please bring your own lunch, snacks and plenty of water.
Safety is our top priority. Wearing a life jacket is mandatory as soon as students arrive on site – we provide these for everyone. Closed water shoes are also required.
We work with clear safety procedures on and around the water. All instructors are fully trained, and additional supervisors are always present.

Sailing School Uitgeest is part of Sailing School & Boat Rental Het Uitgeestermeer and applies the HISWA terms and conditions. Besides sailing lessons, you can also come to us for staff outings, Caribbean Bar party venue, meeting room, youth sailing lessons, adult sailing lessons and surf lessons.
