Zeilschool Het Uitgeestermeer introduces you, in a relaxed and enjoyable way, to one of the most beautiful water sports there is: sailing. Are you new to sailing and stepping aboard a PolyValk or Fox22 for the very first time? Or do you already have experience and want to improve your skills or earn official CWO certificates? Either way, you are very welcome at Zeilschool Het Uitgeestermeer for beginner or advanced sailing courses. By the end of the adult sailing course, you will have a solid understanding of the core principles of sailing.
Advanced sailors receive practical tools to further refine and perfect their sailing techniques. Our passionate, young and enthusiastic team of certified instructors is happy to share their love for sailing with you. Prefer sailing as a duo? That is also possible at Zeilschool Het Uitgeestermeer. Looking for something different and want to stay upright on the water? Then take a look at our windsurfing course for adults!
Always wanted to learn how to sail on an open keelboat? The Polyvalk is the perfect boat to master the basics of sailing.
Want to not only learn sailing properly but also master the basics of maneuvering a cabin sailboat with a motor? The Fox22 course is perfect for you!
Not sure which course suits you or your child best? We completely understand. With our wide range of sailing and surfing courses, choosing can sometimes be difficult. Feel free to contact us — we are happy to think along with you. Based on your experience and preferences, we will personally help you choose the right course, so you can head out onto the water with confidence.
We are very flexible! Throughout the season, lessons can be scheduled seven days a week between 09:30 and 21:00. Let us know your availability and we will check whether an instructor is available to teach you. Whether you prefer weekends, evenings or weekdays — it is all possible. In early spring and autumn, evening lessons depend on sunset times so we do not sail in the dark.
Warm clothing is especially important, as it can be much colder on the water than on land. Bring plenty of warm layers, and a rain suit is always useful — even when it is not raining. A rain suit helps block the wind and keeps you comfortable. There is plenty of space on board to store your belongings. We also recommend wearing comfortable, flexible shoes with a good sole — most sneakers work just fine, as long as the sole is not completely smooth. Bringing enough food and drinks is advised, as well as a waterproof phone case if desired. We provide a life jacket and you may borrow a waterproof barrel for valuables.
